Find the tracking code that stops recording purchases
On August 26, 2026 Shopify removes checkout.liquid, the Additional Scripts field and script tags on the Thank you and Order status pages for the Basic, Shopify and Advanced plans. A tracker that is not registered as a Web Pixel keeps loading on your storefront and stops recording the purchase. Nothing in your admin tells you when that happens.
- File and line, not a guess. CheckoutPixel reads the source of your published theme and reports where each tracker is hardcoded, with the surrounding code and the account ID it uses.
- Works when an outside check cannot. A password page, a bot wall or a headless storefront hides everything from an external scan. Installed, the theme is still readable.
- Your deadline, not a generic one. Shopify Plus lost these scripts on August 28, 2025. Everyone else loses them on August 26, 2026. The app checks which one applies to your store.
